So I applied all over, & got 2 Part-Time jobs 1 days a part (applied for 3mo, how did this work out?):
-Working at a major casino in their bowling center, as a desk guy.
-Working for a large pizza chain, as a delivery guy.
I've been doing these jobs for about a month now, & must say I enjoy everything about them except the pay-rate. I had forgotten how little stress there is when you know your nut is de facto taken care of, & at the Pizza job it's quite enjoyable learning about how food industry works + meeting nice people (tippers) + super easy + I haven't driven much in my life & it's improving my skills.
-Can't wait for Nevada online poker to get going, & am hoping it grows quickly to other states/the rest of the world.
-Can't wait until I get my FTP funds from the DOJ, & am hoping it includes points/medals as they account for approximately 1/3 of money I have on their. Still thanking my "stars" I had 95% of my roll on PS, I can't even imagine if I waited this long for that kind of money. So lucky as I had a 5-figure balance on FTP as late as 2009.
If regulated online poker gets going well, my plan is to drop the pizza job & start bowling the PBA West region bowling tour by March when their "points" reset.

Argh Live poker
Well after a bad run, & all kinds of extra bills I've decided to take a job working at a bowling center here in Vegas. I start the middle of next month, & it's going to suck working after slacking for 2 years. But it will be nice to take a long break from playing poker 50 hours a week.
I have it figured out what I'd need to play poker for a living again:
-No more than 30hrs a week, nothing is worse than "having" to grind.
-5k a month+, anything less & a 40hr/wk job with benefits @$2,500 month is a better deal IMO.
-2 years living expenses, & a budget that figures in all the extra shit over my nut (cars/house repairs, inflation, etc). 6 month's derived from my "nut" was a POS.
-Fish, lots & lots of pure fucking fish. C'mon US federal legislation :)
I've never had any education, but to get a job I needed a GED. With about 2hrs of study, I ranked in the top 95% of HS seniors for 4 out of 5 categories (got a perfect on 1). Writing was my lowest, but I passed plus some (this should be obvious). Anyways, this has encouraged me to look into college in my near future. I have no idea what I'd do with a degree, but it's something I think I'd like to accomplish.

Damn a year later already
And............nothing :(
Here's a good article about how a few companies are positioning themselves for future US regulation: http://calvinayre.com/2012/04/15/poker/how-to-make-it-in-america/

Almost a first time home owner
If all goes well, we should be moving in by the end of the month. This also means I'll soon be a regular at a few various LV casinos, likely those with bowling centers to start off. Of course, life would be sweet if some sick legislation went through very soon. The latest news seems to suggest that to me, but I suppose it could be still be months/years/never. Latest news being: NV passed a law that they're able to regulate future online poker rooms, rumors of a bill being drawn up, & the CEO of Ceasers talking about it like it's a done deal.
Good guy attempting to get all the players there money, or bad guy trying to extort FTP at the worst possible time solely for personal gain? I'm optimistic, so I'm heavily leaning towards the former.
